Born in 1966 in Niederfellabrunn, Lower Austria, Josef Zinsberger lives and works in Langenzersdorf near Vienna.
Zinsberger’s art comes from within: things personally seen and experienced are made visible through a process of internalization. The human being is a central motive in his pictures, mainly expressed in black & white with light effects. He conveys tensions revealed in the paintings, thus encouraging the viewer to contemplate and meditate. In his oil or acrylic abstracts he often incorporats various materials such as marble powder, pigments and natural materials in order to intensify three dimensionality, symbolism and expressiveness.
His works can be found in private and public collections. Participates in numerous national and international exhibitions.
