Radostina Kostadinova

Born on 18 August, 1978 in Shumen, Bulgaria, a relatively small town not far from the Black Sea coast. From an early age, I have shown a strong interest in arts: music, poetry, and especially drawing. When I was 5 years old, one of my pictures was published in a national children’s magazine.

Later on, however, my life took a different perspective. I studied Mathematics at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia and wrote a Ph.D. (2006) at the Technical University of Munich.

I worked at an insurance company and a bank, while also taking care of my sons (I have three wonderful boys).

From 2006 to 2016 I lived in Luxembourg. In 2008, after quitting my job at the bank, I started various intensive courses in drawing and painting, including the correspondence course of the Famous Artist School, USA, Connecticut.

In 2012–2014, I enrolled in the Art School of the acknowledged graphic designer Kamen Popov. Around that time, appeared my first compositions. After the unexpected and tragic demise of my beloved master, I continued honing my skills and techniques with the artists Nikolaj Panayotov and Guy Tosso.

Since the summer of 2016, I live in Vienna, further developing as an artist, creating my own projects, also beyond the easel painting, and in particular in the recycling arts.

Each piece of art which comes to life through my hands is for me as a child that grows step by step.It gets from me care, love and an idea of the form I think it might take, but it also has the freedom to develop differently.
